DIET Its
Branches and their program.
Establishment of DIET is the outcome
of National Policy of Education the objective of Diet is to
achieve the aim of universalization of Education along with
qualitave development in Education.
Furctions of DIET.
1.
Training of Teachers both in
(a)
Pre service
(b)
In Service
(a)
Pre Service training for fresh students who opt to
became teacher. At present 45 fresh and 5 In-service Teachers
are admitted for regular D.Ed. course run by Board of secondary
Education.
(b)
Inservice Training – Inservice Training is provided to
teachers already in service in two ways.
(1)
Admission for D.Ed. Course through correspondence and
operation Quality (See under separate Head)
(2)
Short team Training programme of 20 Days for all in
service teachers
(c)
Induction programme of 30 days intensive training for
newly appointed teachers.
(d)
Different short duration orientation programme on
different topics like assessment, T.L.M. etc.
2.
Training the volunteers of Residential Bridge (B)
course (RBC) and non Residential Bridge course (NRBC) and Adult
education to incalculate being skills and refreshers course.
3.
To act as an resource center to the teacher of primary
(Class 1 to 5) and Middle classes *5-8) i.e. Elementary level.
4.
To execute any programme sponsored by state Govt. or
central Government.
5.
To conduct Action Research programme at district
level.
6.
Orientation of Aganwadi workers and E.C.C.E. (Early
childhood care and Education.
(1)
Pre Service Education –
Though this branch has not been mentioned in the state branch
list yet a senior lecturer incharge of curriculum material
Development is given the responsibility of Pre Service
Education. This department have following duties.
1.
To admit 50 students (at present for in take of 100
students have been sent to NCTE) as per instruction of Rajya
Siksha Kendra (RSK).
2.
Planning activities of the students of Pre service
(i.e. pupil teacher) for the entire session.
3.
Internal and External Evaluation of the pupil teacher
in coordination with Evaluation Department.
The Diploma Education
D.Ed. course is rum in the institute as per syllabus of board of
secondary Education Madhya Pradesh.
(2)
In-service Education and Field Interaction –
1.
Organization of training programme for in service
teachers based on their requirements.
2.
Identification of teachers who needs training.
3.
Follow up programmed to study the impact of training.
4.
It is also required to make contract with teachers
though bulletin.

DRU – District Resource unit of the institute is
entrusted with the work of maim tang competency of faculty
members by arranging their training in different Institutes like
RIE, NCERT etc. It also to look after the training of different
types of teaches of the district working either in school stream
communing education.
(4)
E.T. or I.C.T. - Educational technology or
Information communication technology has to arrange
teleconferencing and computer laboratory. presentation and
improvement of teaching learning method is also to be matted by
this department.
(5)
Work Experience –
1.
Different works like chalk mating tat patty are to be
taught pre-service students.
2.
Maintained of the garden by pre service students.
(6)
Methods and Evaluation –
Development of Evaluation Techniques based
on child center way. Introduction of innovation In evaluation..
This department is also entrusted
the responsibility of dealing district Board and D.Ed.
Examination.
(7)
Curriculum and Material Development.
This department is entrusted with the
responsibility of review of curriculum of pre primary, primary
and upper primary level. This department has to ensure the
minimum Level of Learning (M.L.L.) is achieved in district by
developing teaching learning material needed. It also having the
responsibility of develop a better curriculum.

Planning and Innovation co-ordination –
Development and improvement are possible if
they are planned in a scientific way. This department is
assigned the duty of planning of Development of the Institute as
well as the development of the district in educational study
keeping in view.

Education for Equality –
Madhya Pradesh is educationally back ward
minority belong so scheduled caste, backward and illiterates.
This department is entrusted the duty of arrangement of
education of children with special needs. Training I.E.D.
(Inclusive Education of teaches and administrators.
(10)
Para Academic psychology guidance and counseling.
The training of guidance and counseling to
D.Ed. students so that they can provide adequate guidance of the
students according to their abilities.
(11)
Physical Education –
Providing physical Education to D.Ed
Students so that they can conduct these activities in their
schools.
At Present the post of
lecturer physical Education has been dropped from DIET.
(12)
Arts and Aesthetic value Department.
This department is entrusted the duty of
indicating fine arts skills among pupil teachers so that they
can express their feelings. making institution campus
attractive.

Guidance for talents in fine acts after their
identification.

Sanitation Activity to make campus attractive.

Strategy for trail in 2007-08:-
In
the session 2007-08 total 3195 teachers are to be trained of
which 2177, primary and 1018 at upper primary level. This
training programme will be based on Hard Sports and teachers
needs.
Induction Training:-
In
session 2006-07 Nine Days training programme was organized for
General subjects total 347 Newly appointed teacher of which 148
of SAMVIDA SHIKSHAK 2 and 199 SAMVIDA SHIKSHAK-3.
Strategy for in 2007-08:-
Induction training of 30 Days is proposed. A training of 21
Days proposed to teachers who have been trained in General
Subject.

Remedial Teachers
Training:-
Volunteer
teachers or remedial teachers and appointed in the Schools
having large number of C and D grade students or single
teachers. These several teachers were imparted 3 Days trails
i.e. 17 to 19 Jan. 07 Total 299 soles teachers were trained in
2005-06.

Bulletin :-
Edusat :-
Edusat is a satellite for Education launched in year 2004. It is
an important project in education to provide quality education
in all over the country. This two video inter active technology
say up for virtual and teacher. The ground level network would
comprise uplink stations at state level and national level. It
has face regional and one central team. The edusat is
operational from early 2005.
This technology is expected to
yield many faithful results. Learners of even remote part of the
country cum access to expected of the country and discuss their
problem with them.
Learning Guarantee
Programme (LGP) :-
This is the programme
of quality important of education running by Azim Ji Premji
foundation (APF) in collaboration of Raya Siksha Kendra (RSK).
APF has proposed to reward schools making grade in specially
designed skill bases question paper Examination conducted by
joint agency of APF and RSK.
The participation in
the programme is voluntary. The primary Schools who wish to take
part in the context are required to fill up a simple form and
mail it.
At present this
programme is running in two districts of Madhya Pradesh Datia
and Vidisha. This programme has started in the Datia district
after its declaration in DIET in December 2004. At present 501
Schools are participated in the programme.
The qualifying Schools are classed in three category.
(A) (1) Cent percent
enrollment 6-11 year children.
(2)
90% Attendance.
(3)
At least 80% student should achieve 90% Skills.
(B) (1) & (2) Similar
(4)
At least 70% Students achieve 90% skills.
(C)
1 & 2 remarks the same at least 60% students 90%
Skills. A, B, C grade Schools will be get as reward of Rs.10,000
Rs. 70,00 & 5,000 respectively teachers of qualify Schools will
also be rewarded. The student achieve 100% Skills are also be
rewarded unfortunately in year 2006 none of Schools could make
grade.
Action Research programe is
also reining in 4 primary Schools of two district by A.P.F.
under name Aarohan.
Operation
Quality:-
In Datia total 774
teachers enrolled them selves in D.Ed. training under operation
quality out of which 712 registered for examination after
computation of due attendance in the contact programme. Out of
these 712 teachers only 698 appeared in the examination. Only 11
teachers were in D grade remaining all passed there first year
examination in A B and C grade. These all teachers are preparing
for there D.Ed. second year examination.
At
present 336 untrained teachers are working in the district.
Majority of are them newly appointed SAMVIDA SIKSHAK. In order
to achieve the target of 100% trained teachers in the schools at
least one more programme of operation quality is required.
At present 347 newly appointed
teachers of which SAMVIDA SIKSHAK-II 145 and SAMVIDA SIKSHAK-III
202 have been imparted 09 days training programme. They are to
be given remaining 21 Days training programme nearly. 35
teachers who could not attend the 09 Days training programme
will be imparted total 30 Days training.
Nearly 465 teachers are still to be appointed at the elementary
level therefore a provision of 30 days training programme for
500 hundred teachers has been proposed in the plan.
